new to the site Hey My name is Jay I have a daughter and she is my world.My favorite things to do are write poetry and listen from anything from rock to hip-hop.I am currently in school trying to better myself in life.I like movies and like to have a good time.Not in to the head games looking for someone who is straight forward and honest.I am looking for someone who is caring and that has a good heart like myself

undying love

my love is waiting by the shore
the waves crashing around her
as the sound fills her heart
as each tear drop falls into the ocean
she has been waiting for me
it seems like forever
i see her face from the distance
as my ship slowly sails to harbor
im coming my love
just hold on a little longer
i will me there soon
as the sun slowly falls into the sea
our souls are longing to touch again
as i herd you call my name into the moonlight
we will make love like no other
as our souls die to be together for all eternity

broken promises

each day i pray to god
you come and look my way
just sit down and talk to me
i know your pain
i have been there so many times
please put your faith in me
can we face the world together
hand in hand , side by side
before the grace of god
a love starts to blossom
like a new flower
god watches over us
to bless us with his loving hands
but time and time again
you was burned by the men in the past
with broken promises and heartache
just looking to hurt and crush your heart and soul
and i still stand before you invisible
as you look threw me
can you see me
right before you
a humble man
begging for your heart
but you push me away
cause you think im like the rest
as you walk ahead of me
the test will be on going, no question
but my love and heart is true
you see how i tried to talk to you
im right here
just waiting for a chance
to see your heart and soul
as i lay a rose
before your beauty
